How do I work out a retreat payment schedule?

Start with the total price and take a deposit to secure the place. Split the remaining balance across a few dated instalments, with the final balance due a set number of days before the retreat starts. This calculator does the maths and the dates for you.

How much deposit should I take for a retreat?

Many retreat hosts take a deposit of 20 to 30 percent to cover early venue, catering and facilitator costs. You can enter a percentage or a fixed amount and the calculator spreads the rest across your instalments.

When should the final balance be due?

The final balance is usually due a set number of days before arrival, such as 30 or 60 days, so it lands before your venue and supplier cut-offs. Set the days-before value and the calculator dates the final balance for you.

Does the calculator handle rounding?

Yes. Amounts are calculated in whole pence or cents and any odd remainder is spread across the instalments, so the deposit plus every instalment always adds back up to the total.
