## What the calculator does

The interactive tool on this page (available at the canonical URL) takes:

- Retreat name (optional) and currency (GBP, EUR or USD)
- Total price
- Deposit as a percentage of the total or a fixed amount
- Booking / deposit date and retreat start date
- Final balance due date, set as days before the start
- Number of instalments (the last instalment is the final balance)
- Instalment spacing: evenly spaced to the final balance, or monthly counted back from the final balance

It produces the full schedule of amounts and dates, checks that the deposit plus instalments adds back up to the total, and lists the reminder dates (an upcoming-payment reminder 3 days before each instalment, a missed-payment chase 2 days after an unpaid date, and a final-balance reminder 7 days before the final balance). You can copy a customer-facing schedule and an admin checklist. Nothing is sent anywhere.

A common retreat plan looks like this: a £1,200 place, a £300 deposit to secure it, then three instalments with the final balance due 30 days before arrival. The deposit protects your early venue and catering costs, and the guest spreads the rest across dated payments.
